Yellow Brix Restaurant

We enjoyed lunch on the patio with our dog, they brought her a bowl of water, and our service was wonderful. We ordered the chips with salsa and queso and it was delicious. I had the roasted pear with steak and goat cheese (instead of feta) and it was really good. My husband enjoyed the steak tacos and said they were very good with the exception of a few pieces of steak being inedible (hence 4 stars instead of 5). All in it was a wonderful lunch spot. The patio is a very cute space with trees, bamboo along the fence line, twinkle lights, etc. I walked into the woman's bathroom and said WOW, it was so pretty! Odd thing to point out, but it's noteworthy :)

This place is my favorite in Carlsbad! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. This place was the only place out of three places that didn’t turn me away because it was 40 minutes before closing. And this happened multiple occasions. Working late hours and then being turned away from dinner was not fun, but this place is always there for you! I would ask if they were still serving people and they would instantly welcome me! Most places close at 9, as do they. I have had the chicken fettuccine, the carne asada plate, the green chili chicken fettuccine, and the steak medallions, and I cannot tell you which one I like more, because they are all very very good! The pazole soup was to die for! Highly recommend this place! The food and the service are unmatchable in the area!! Also the wine selection is on point!

My son and I we’re visiting Carlsbad caverns and decided to find a restaurant close by. It’s roughly 25 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns. I ordered the Garlic shrimp pasta and my son ordered the fish and chips. Most of all the garlic shrimp was cooked to perfection. I love that they still kept the shell on to be able to enjoy all the juices from the shell. The pasta was cooked al dente which is my preference. My son‘s fish was very generous and portion size and nice and flaky. Our server Chy was absolutely wonderful and the environment in here is very modern. The artwork is beautiful as well. And they have an espresso machine which is very rare to find in many restaurants.

Had the best fresh fruit crepe, and husband had huevos rancheros and said they were good and that the green sauce was great! Server and manager both apologized for the wait, but we were seated right away and food came out quickly, so I think people must have been nasty to them before. Would definitely return if we're back in the area! ETA: It was so good we went back k for dinner. Once again seated right away with great service. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes might be my favorite thing I ate on this vacation. Definitely come give this place a try!

We had such a great experience here! The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They were so nice about our service dog and even offered her some water, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the patio where we sat was beautiful. We didn’t enjoy the desserts as much, but everything else was amazing! We totally recommend this place, great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere.

This restaurant was Texas on a plate the steak was well seasoned, cook was perfect and service was flawlessly executed. Got right in and seated. Come here if you want a great steak in Carlsbad.

Came here hungry after doing the McKittrick Canyon Trail at Guadalupe. I ordered their sashimi tuna and 16oz ribeye steak. The tuna was not the freshest I’ve had but it was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired well with the balsamic sauce. Portion was generous and staff are nice. This is a solid place.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here & got great service from Roberto. There was a small wait to be seated. The young men in charge of seating got confronted by another server about seating arrangements and servers. She was being rude to them for not following an order to the seating instead of helping. Which almost made us change our mind about dining here. The food was quickly served. We had steaks and they were slightly over seasoned to our liking. The tortilla soup has good flavor and plenty of chicken and veggies. The New York cheesecake stole the night. It was delicious and everything you expect from a new york style cheesecake.
